2013: The Founding – Laying the Foundation with Compact Excellence

BDSCALES’ story began in 2013, when the company officially launched with a focus on mini scales and pocket scales. At the time, the team identified a gap in the market for portable, reliable weighing tools for daily and small-batch use – a niche BDSCALES quickly filled with products designed for durability and user-friendliness. This initial focus on accessible, quality-driven compact scales laid the groundwork for the company’s future, establishing its core value of “precision for everyday needs.”

2016-2018: Breaking New Ground – Precision Upgrades and Capacity Expansion

By 2016, BDSCALES had shifted its focus to more specialized equipment, unveiling the DJ Series Electronic Balance after three years of R&D. A standout feature of this series was its robust anti-overload function – a critical innovation that addressed a common pain point for users, ensuring the balance maintained accuracy even under unexpected heavy loads. This launch marked BDSCALES’ entry into the mid-to-high precision weighing segment, earning it recognition among industrial and laboratory clients.

The following year, 2017, saw further refinement of precision with the PN Series Balance, which introduced models capable of measuring down to 1 milligram (0.001g). This breakthrough catered to industries like jewelry, pharmaceuticals, and electronics, where ultra-fine accuracy is non-negotiable.

In 2018, BDSCALES expanded both its product range and production capacity: it launched a 5kg high-capacity balance, bridging the gap between small-precision scales and industrial-grade equipment. Simultaneously, the company established a new branch factory in Huizhou – a strategic move to meet growing demand and streamline production, enabling faster delivery for domestic and international orders.

With its balance business stabilized by 2019, BDSCALES turned its attention back to its roots: pocket scale upgrades and development. 2021 marked another milestone with the launch of the BDS-AJ Series New Balance, marketed under the tagline “Precision Redefined, Performance Excellence.” This series integrated advanced sensor technology and a sleeker design, further elevating accuracy and user experience. It quickly became a top-seller for applications in research labs and quality control departments.

A year later, in 2022, BDSCALES expanded beyond balances to diversify its product portfolio, releasing LCD/LED Weighing Indicators. These versatile indicators, compatible with various weighing platforms, added value for industrial clients by enabling real-time data monitoring, remote control, and seamless integration with production systems – a key step toward offering comprehensive weighing solutions rather than standalone products.

2024: Leading with Innovation – The BDS-EK Hydrostatic Balance

Most recently, in 2024, BDSCALES pushed the boundaries of specialized weighing with the launch of the BDS-EK Hydrostatic Balance. Designed for measuring the density and specific gravity of solid materials (critical for industries like metallurgy, geology, and materials science), this product demonstrated the company’s ability to tackle niche, high-tech challenges. It also underscored BDSCALES’ commitment to R&D – a cornerstone of its growth over 12 years.
